Missy Deckert, the beloved Tuxedo Cat of the Deckert family, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 5:18 PM.

Missy chose us on November 9, 2017, and from that day on, she became a cherished member of our family. While we never knew her exact birthday or age, we are grateful for every moment we shared with her.

Missy's favorite toys were my fingers. I'd wiggle them around corners and through small spaces, and she would eagerly pounce, trying her best to catch them—and occasionally give them a playful nibble. She never met a box she didn't love and would happily jump inside the moment one appeared. Catnip treats were always a favorite, and she could often be found perched on the top of her cat tree, quietly watching the birds outside the window.

Missy brought laughter, comfort, and companionship into our home. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her fur brother, Buddy, and by the rest of our family. Though our hearts are heavy, we will forever treasure the memories she gave us and the joy she brought into our lives.
