Nashie Baby
Brown
d. Jul 29, 2026
Nashie Baby lived his life in a puppy's body - people always would mistakenly say "what a cute little puppy you have" - even up until the end. I seldom corrected. He was young in appearance with a temperament of a Viking Warrior (should any animal come too close) - mash this with a gentle old spirit, a little lover; especially of the attention from the human realm and you have Nashie to his core. He was quick and purposeful, barked like a BIG dog no matter the opposition. He charged valiantly to the end of his runner so many times while he kept watch of the alley - it wasn't until his last years that he realized that was never a good idea.
Nashie was a people's person. If a bare forearm, hand, or cheek were close by, he did not waste the opportunity to remind you of his presence - that a scratch or a pet would be most absolutely welcomed and desired.
He was a master communicator - long stares accompanied by a glance, returning to the long stare - dare he be ignored for too long, varying degrees of backlash would ensue - different tones and intensities - he was such a funny dog! What a ball of personality - a dry seemingly wit about him, not overly needy. He liked his independence too. He went from looking like he could be Bob Marley's dog in the winter months to a sleek wiener dog summer cut, of course DIY cuts in between - he didn't mind the funny stares.
Nashie had the strut of a bulldog with his chest held proud, ears bouncing with every stride, a wind-up toy walking on air - He had Moxy I was told once and he definitely did! I loved to watch that walk, to watch him circle until he was satisfied - a plop down followed by an upward glance tilted just so as to say "now what?" He was my fearless, loyal, loving, connected little eight pound buddy. He endured going to the vet, long days alone while I worked, and letting me stick him with needles for his fluids for over two years just so he could stay with me. He was a tough cookie!
I will forever be appreciative Nashie that I had so many wonderful picture-worthy moments with you to remind me years from now just how special you were!
So lay down my dear sweet buddy, lay down and take your rest...
Won't you lay your head upon your Savior's breast.
I love you, oh but Jesus loves you the best...
And so I bid you a goodnight...goodnight...goodnight.
Rest in Peace Nashie Baby ❤
